Breaking News! At our recently scheduled business meeting the future of Central’s media ministry was investigated. Pastor Chris reviewed Central’s media history and then highlighted opportunities for the continuation of high-quality programming at Central. Equipment needs were reviewed as well as pricing. After time in prayer and discussion, a motion was made for Central to move forward with the acquisition of a 4-camera package, including the replacement of all audio/visual and studio equipment. The motion was passed. Right now your prayers, active support, and financial contributions are very much needed. To fund this project please earmark your contribution “Media Ministry.” If you wish to get involved with media ministry, please let the pastoral staff or church office know. Let’s move forward together realizing that the success of this operation won’t come from a few gifts and talents but from a collective sacrifice for the advancement of the proclamation of the everlasting gospel. Please stay tuned for more information to follow.
Pastoral Search Update: We had planned to interview a potential candidate for the administrative pastor position on July 10 but recently we were informed that our interviewee took another call to work elsewhere. As a result the interview did not take place. He expressed his deep regret in getting our hopes up and asked that we accept his sincere apologies. He believes God has led him in the direction he has chosen and so we have accepted this as God's will for him and for us as well.
Presently the Conference is referencing another candidate for the Youth/Young Adult position. We have gone in this direction considering the great need Central has in this area. The Conference Personnel Committee met on July 10 and the response was favorable. As soon as we get a date set for an interview we will let you know. Please continue to keep this process in prayer. We are long overdue for extra pastoral support.
