Dear friends.

This is the season of giving. Although we understand that Christ wasn’t born on December 25, this time of year reminds us of the greatest gift that was ever given—the gift of God’s dear Son. And we also know that when God gave His Son to us He gave Him entirely and completely. Jesus said, “For God so loved the world that He gave...” (John 3:16)

If we thought we could ever repay God for His generosity toward us we would only be fooling ourselves. He doesn’t expect us to do that anyway. Think about what He has done for you and your family this year. Consider what He has done for our church family and how He has blessed us. Without hesitation we can say we have been treated well this year.

Because this is the season of giving and you are thinking about what gifts you might give to those you love or those in need, would you also consider what gift you might give to the Lord?

On Sabbath, December 21, 2019, you will be given a special opportunity during the worship service here at Sacramento Central to give your best gift to the Lord; a gift that will further that blessed enterprise of those three angels of Revelation 14--sharing the message of Christ’s saving love with our community.

It's our Annual Year-End Love Offering, and I would like to invite you to bring your monetary gifts to church as we each give generously, happily, willingly because of what Christ has done for us.

If you’re not sure how much you should give, then perhaps you ought to heed the following wise advice. It was once said by a follower of Christ, “I do not believe one can settle how much we ought to give. I am afraid the only safe rule is to give more than we can spare.” After all, didn’t God give more than He could spare?

May you each have a blessed Christmas & New Year!
