Hung Up On Time

I remember the time well. A flurry of reports had circulated predicting the imminent end of the world. The late Harold Camping had at that time convinced many Christians to believe that the judgment and rapture was to take place on May 21, 2011. The mainstream media picked up on the story. Everyone was talking about it. Billboards all over the country gave warning to the masses that they needed to get their lives right with God. And then, just like that, the day came and then went. Nothing happened. Jesus did not return. The end of the world did not happen.

But Camping hasn’t been the only one to set a time for the end of the world. Plenty of others have tried their hand at the prediction business. Just this year...

The Youth & Young Adults of Central invite you to this year's Week of Prayer. Guest presenter Maurice Graham of Secrets Unsealed, will share thought-provoking messages designed to lead us closer to Christ. Join us in the chapel starting Wednesday, May 23 @ 7 PM. 



Sacred Concert

Sacramento Central will be hosting this year's GYC West sacred concert on Sabbath, May 26, 2018 @ 5:30 PM. The theme of the concert is, "Higher: Be An Example." You will enjoy selections from Rebecca Messer, Kayla Marcoux, Karina Lopez, African Style, and more.

Operation Joash Update

At an official Board meeting in April 2018, Central's Strategic Planning Committee presented three bids on the replacement sanctuary HVAC system. After some deliberation a bid was finally selected. The work contract has now been signed, permits are being applied for, and it is anticipated that the new HVAC system will be installed by the end of October this year. On top of this, we have saved $250,000 on the anticipated cost of the new system. Isn't God good! Click here  to learn more and how you can contribute.

Chamber Orchestra Reboot

Orchestra rehearsals started this past
Sabbath and will run through the summer at 3 PM in the Family Life Room. Rehearsals will be every 2nd and 4th Sabbath. For

Youth Rush is Coming! We are excited to again be hosting 20-25 students for the summer who will be going door-to-door and sharing inspirational and truth-filled literature across Sacramento. Please begin to pray for them and their success in our community. They begin to arrive June 10.
