Blessed to Bless
I am blessed. I think you could say the same.
I was on my way to the United States to study for the ministry. My dad, who was living in Bangkok, Thailand at the time, invited me to visit him for two weeks before continuing to my final destination. I said yes, and was so glad I did.
The Thai people, the culture, and the beauty intrigued me. City life wasn’t very exotic, but the countryside offered a feast for the eyes. A weekend trip to the coast was the highlight of the trip. I have some fond memories of my time there. But the thing that I will never forget is the extreme poverty I witnessed.
As an afternoon outing, my dad treated me to a boat ride on the Chao Phraya River. It was beautiful…at least until...
