The Protest Continues Rudyard Kipling wrote: “If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew to serve your turn long after they are gone, and so hold on when there is nothing in you, except the Will which says to them, ‘Hold on!’…you’ll be a man my son.”

In response to this statement someone wrote, “The giants that tower over the pages of history are those whose indomitable will prevailed long after everything else had failed them, whose unyielding faith in God sustained them when the outlook was bleakest, and whose preference for secret communion with God buoyed them long after every semblance of hope had dissolved.”

Thus was the experience of the Protestant Reformers of the past...
