Gift For God

I’ve recently been reflecting on the life of Desmond Doss, the non-combatant, Seventh-day Adventist medic, and first conscientious objector to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor.  Doss saved multiple lives during the Second World War while risking his own life many times over.  His life has more recently come to light through the 2004 documentary, “The Conscientious Objector” and this year’s Hollywood film, “Hacksaw Ridge.”

Family Matters

The Last Empire Report: On October 14, 2016 @ 7 PM the Sacramento Central Seventh-day Adventist Church launched its major evangelistic outreach for 2016, a prophecy seminar entitled The Last Empire.  Our average attendance over the 24 nights was well above 200 with just over 100 guests attending throughout the series.  About 6 individuals so far have requested baptism.  Central pastors, Bible worker, and members are following up on 30 Bible study interests.  A huge thank you to every member who made the series a success.

Sacramento Central Prayer Ministry has conference calls open to the entire church twice daily, at 5:30 AM and 7 PM, for approximately 30 minutes.  Call 712.770.4010, access code: 361097.

Hero of Hacksaw Ridge: From Remnant Publications: “Hollywood has given us another prime opportunity to distribute truth to searching souls. Mel Gibson’s latest blockbuster production, Hacksaw Ridge is due to hit theaters on November 4 providing the perfect springboard to share the story and an even more in-depth look at the faith of Desmond Doss.” Order your books to share right here.
