                           A New Year, A New You
      After all those holiday treats it is a great time to start this year off right by eating and
      drinking healthfully. One of the best things you can do for your health is to drink half
      your weight in ounces of water daily. Another healthy drink you can enjoy is what I call
      Heavenly Green Miracle Smoothie. It makes your heart happy. It’s like gold in a glass!


                           Healthy Green Miracle Smoothie
      2-3 bananas, fresh or frozen
      1/2-1 C. frozen pineapple
      1-2 C. fresh, organic baby spinach
      ½ C. fresh, organic kale
      1 C. fresh squeezed orange juice
      1 C. filtered water
      Put all ingredients in a Vitamixer or blender and blend until smooth. Serve and enjoy a glass of
      delicious goodness and health. Cheers to 2020, the year to be healthy! Makes 2-4 servings and
      can be kept refrigerated for 2 days

     Simple. Healthy. Delicious. Chickpea Salad.                                  Five Cup-Better Veggie Burger
                                                submitted by Imelda Leyva         The burger recipe makes patties or "crumbles"
     Here's what you will need;                                                   that can be used for tacos, chili beans, enchi-
     a. nutritiional yeast (1 Tbs)                                                lada fillings, sloppy joes, lasagna, or almost
     b. paprika (1 tsp)                                                           any dish that calls for veggie burger.
     c. veganaise or just mayo (3Tbs.)                                            Ingredients;
     d. Bill's best spice (opt. 1Tbs.)                                            1  25 oz. can black or pinto beans: drain,rinse
     e. onion spice (2tsp)                                                            and smash
     f. chickpeas (garbanzo beans)2 cans                                          1  cup ground walnuts or pecans
     g. 100% organic wheat bread                                                  1 cup finely chopped onion
     h. celery (1 stalk)                                                          1 cup finely shredded or ground carrots
     i. mustard (1 Tbs.)                                                          1 cup oatmeal processed into flour
     Here's what you will do;                                                     1 Tlbsp. Nutritional Yeast
     a.  In a large bowl, stir together the chickpeas (smash a bit                1 Tlbsp. Garlic granules or fresh to taste
     with a fork)                                                                 1 tsp. salt
     add; mayo, nutritional yeast, mustard, celery and spices.                    1 -2 Tlbsp. water
     mix well.                                                                         Seasoning
     b. Serve on a whiole wheat bread or your favorite ciabata                    A. Make into patties-bake or air fry at 350
     bread.                                                                            15 min each side
                                                                                  B.  Saute or bake ingredients and use in your
                                                                                        favorite  dish; tacos, chili beans, spaghetti
                                                                                        sauce, etc...

                                                         20/20 Denotes Visual Acuity, aka-clarity of vision. Visual acuity is depen-
                                                         dent on several factors as is your health.  The month of January is notorious
                                                         for making and breaking "new year's resolutions." The most popular being
                                                         weight loss. When looking at new year resolutions keep the 20/20 visual
                                                         acuity in mind as a reference point for the year 2020. You want to be your
                                                         healthiest self for several reasons, one of which is to be of service to your
                                                         Savior. The basic factors in keeping healthy are: eating a plant based diet,
                                                         keeping as active as possible which in turn will help you get that needed
                                                         sleep, spending time with Jesus everyday, and partaking of God's Sabbath
                                                         rest. You will not need a special diet to lose weight or improve your health if
                                                         you eat a balanced plant based diet.  It's guaranteed to work better than any
                                                         pill!
