Melissa was born in the Chicago suburb of Hinsdale, Illinois and spent life growing up in numerous other states. Though she grew up in a loving Adventist home, it was the opportunities afforded by independence that resulted in turning away from God and the church for a season. Thankfully, the strength of God-fearing parents was rooted deep within and she never forgot.

In 1998 she began to realize how far amiss things had gone in her life. That she’d left God, but He’d never left her, began to dawn on her mind after reading The Richest Caveman (Pastor Doug’s book). As her daily walk with Christ became increasingly precious, she followed God’s calling to exchange her life adventures for His. This led to her re-baptism and a fulfilling position with Amazing Facts. God’s next call was the Central Church office secretary. This position of service has brought much joy in her life.

Melissa finds her greatest growth and contentment when studying about and sharing Jesus. The most fulfilling expression of her love for Jesus is found in involvement with various church ministries and experiencing great adventures with her family.
